ATTORNEY GENERAL'S CHAMBERS,
Hong Kong, ...28th November.,..193 5.
REPORT ON ORDINANCE No. .......43......of 1935 .
1.
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance
intituled
An Ordinance to amend the Defence Contribution
Ordinance, 1901.
2. A print of the memorandum of Objects and
Reasons, which accompanied the Bill for this Ordinance,
is attached. This memorandum explains the various
amendments effected by this Ordinance in the principal
Ordinance, No.1 of 1901, and attention is drawn
particularly to paragraph 7 thereof.
3. I am of opinion that this Ordinance is not
contrary to the instructions received from the Sec-
retary of State and that it is one to which His
Excellency the Officer Administering the Government
may properly assent in the name of His Majesty and on
His behalf.
